In that dreadful raid virtually all of the Dresden porcelain decorating studios was destroyed along with many important historical documents.
However, owing largely to the huge popularity of Dresden china figurines and that style of porcelain production, the desire for Dresden figurines is still very buoyant. Pieces scan still be acquired in antique shops and from other collectors.
